The Challenge
Design and fabricate six time-tunnel installations at National Trust properties across the country to demonstrate the effects of climate change and encourage uptake of smart meter usage, particularly among the over 65s.
The Solution
From within the 6m mirrored ‘time-tunnel’, lights throbbed blue and purple, enticing visitors in. The drama builds with a live feed of the National Trust property taking visitors on an eye-opening journey back to 1770. They are swiftly whizzed forward to 2050, to witness the effects of climate change on the property, should it continue at its current pace.
The eco-friendly steel and plywood structure enabled multiple installations without the risk of damage or wasteful reconstruction. Glass and mirror tint film were used rather than perspex mirror, and display walls were neatly clad with fully recyclable graphic panels.
